PROVINCIAL COUNCIL

The Older Women’s Network is an incorporated nonprofit non-governmental organization which holds annual general meetings and elections to a Provincial Council. The bylaws are available. 
Officers are:

  • Chair
  • Vice-Chair
  • Secretary
  • Treasurer

Committees which report to Council:

  • Finance
  • Housing
  • Anam Cara
  • Special Interest Groups (SIGs) and Outreach
  • Alfreda Mordas Reading Room
  • Nominating and Bylaws
  • Membership
  • Communications

Designated members of OWN also serve as delegates/liaisons to other organizations in the community, reporting back to Council and the membership on those activities which concern us.  OWN’s own campaigns and projects are described in What We Fight For.

PETERBOROUGH CHAPTER

The members initiate many activities and talk with other Peterborough organizations. They send a report for every issue of Contact. Jill Jones is the liaison for this group, 705-740-2962.

The Peterborough chapter of OWN invites you to join them for coffee!  OWN will be at the Whistle-Stop Café on Wednesdays 10-11 am.  Hope to see you there.
